OVERSEAS UNIVERSITY ENTRANCE PROGRAMME
WHAT IS THE OVERSEAS UNIVERSITIES ENTRANCE PROGRAMME (OUEP)?
It is a programme designed by the Javsalynn Foundation to select candidates to acquire tertiary education abroad with the support of Javsalynn and the contributions of the candidates.
WHAT CAN BE STUDIED ABROAD?
The youth can study a course of generative value in any discipline which will enhance their expertise and dignity and also help the development of the community.
Some institutions require applicants to take special tests, for example, the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) and the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
When these are required, applicants will be notified.
WHAT IS THE UNIQUENESS OF THE (OUEP)?
What makes the OUEP unique is the provision of financial support and free two (2) air way tickets by the Javsalynn Foundation to the candidates - i.e. free air tickets from the candidates' home country to the place of learning and from the place of learning at the completion of the training to the candidates' home country.
HOW IS THE SELECTION OF THE CANDIDATES DONE?
The selection of the candidates is through a written examination and an interview.
The examination and interview are conducted twice in a year.
WHAT IS THE CONSTITUTION OF THE EXAMINATION?
The examination comprises three (3) subjects, namely, English Language, Quantitative Methods and General Paper.
Candidates are required to take all three.
There will be alternative papers for Quantitative Methods as follows:
QUANTITATIVE METHODS ALTERNATIVE “A”
• Candidates desirous of pursuing academic programmes in science register for and take this alternative paper.
• QUANTITATIVE METHODS ALTERNATIVE “B”
Candidates desirous of pursuing non-science academic programmes register for and take this alternative paper.
Candidates should note that both Quantitative Methods Alternatives “A” and “B” are in the same booklet.
Candidates should ensure that they do the alternative of the Quantitative Method for which they registered.
